Mitchell Wall is a full service architectural firm. Whether your project is a remodeling, renovation, addition, new home or building, interior finishes, or construction administration, we are here to create and manage the experience for you, from conception through completion. We make the process smooth, fun and easy. And we create beautiful space for you.

The Process
Have you decided that you would like to meet with a member of the Mitchell Wall team, but you don't know what to expect or how to proceed? Hopefully the following will give you a better understanding.

We'll start with an introductory meeting, at no cost to you. During this meeting we'll discuss your project. We'll want to know your goals and objectives, spatial relationships that are important to you. We'll discuss budget and timing issues. After we reach agreement, we'll be on our way!

Preliminary Design Services
This includes programming for your project; designing schematic sketches of your floor plan, elevations, and site plan; and a rendering of your exterior. The preliminary design will give you a concept, an idea of how we together, as a team, envision your project.

Special Submissions
If required, we'll prepare packets for Architectural Review Boards, Site Plan Review and Municipal Review, and represent you at formal presentations as required.

Design Development
Your project will now move into the phase when we hammer out the details of construction, products and materials. Your project will now move into the AutoCad portion and be more finely honed.

3D Renders and Massing Models
To help you envision your new space, we will create computer generated 3D renders and massing studies that allow you to walk through, fly over and move around your new space. We use the latest programs and technology as our tool.

Construction Documents
These documents will explain our design and include our technical drawings, structural and electrical engineering technical documents, and the methods and standards of construction. We will coordinate with all third party consultants.

Interior Design Services
We can provide you with interior elevation designs, and millwork and cabinet detailing. We will coordinate our work with your interior designer and with your kitchen or bath designer as needed.

Bidding and Negotiation
We will contact potential General Contractors for you and introduce them to you if you are putting your project out to bid. We will provide them with all the necessary information, and handle all of the communication during the bid process. We will complete the bid analysis and help you negotiate with your selected builder.

Construction Administration
We will be there and act as your representative during the construction of your project. We will clarify any issues, approve submittals from the builder, approve requests for payment, and approve change orders.
